I went for an evaluation of the advanced of the cataract and asked to be seen by an ophthalmologist, not an optometrist. Half way to the exam , when the name tag turned I figured out I’m seen by an optometrist. I declined from the sign in the vision test. Never mind they did the test. I ask for the post visit notes 2 weeks later and to my surprise I had beside the cataract 3 more diagnosis for which I got advice and care during the visit. , I didn’t know about, or I was told about . I just think they biffed up the ICD codes to get more money from Medicare. Never the less today I got a bill for vision test , which I declin from get go. If I have cataract I don’t need glasses, I need surgery. They were supposed to call to schedule the cataract surgery right after the appointment which was in first part of October, never got the call, unprofessional is an understatement.
