For nearly two decades I have worked to provide my patients with comprehensive, cost-effective, high quality clinical care and endoscopic expertise.

Rachael Poff, PA-C, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained physician assistant treating gastroenterology patients at LewisGale Physicians in Salem, Virginia. Ms. Poff is board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving the digestive tract, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), pancreatitis, and ulcers. Ms. Poff earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences/Radford University Carilion and completed a fellowship with Carilion Clinic Urgent Care and Rural Family Health, in Roanoke. Prior to her medical training, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, graduating with highest honors from Emory & Henry College. Ms. Poff also serves as a preceptor andlecturer with the Radford University Carilion Physician Assistant Studies Program. When not seeing patients, Ms. Poff enjoys spending time with her husband andvolunteering in the local community.

I have always treated my patients with compassion and love.Out of my eight years of post-graduate training I have dedicated five years to the training of Gastroenterology. My final year I strove to learn the skills to master advanced therapeutic endoscopy. My mission is to be able to provide a comprehensive approach to treating highly complicated gastrointestinal conditions with the latest technology and state of the art endoscopy.
