In 2022, she was selected as the faculty senator to represent the department of OB/GYN at the UT Southwestern Faculty Senate.Dr. Awosemusi has delivered a variety of presentations and published several academic articles. She also has research experience in topics such as maternal obesity and the risk of preeclampsia, techniques for improving breastfeeding initiation and continuation in underserved populations. She has presented her research at national medical conferences. Her clinical interests include low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, management of fibroids, addressing abnormal periods through medication and minimally invasive surgery, and most importantly providing patient centered care. In recognition of her excellent care, she received the North Texas Child Mom-Approved OB/GYNs & Midwives award in 2020.
