Jennifer Almonte-Gonzalez, M.D., FACOG, is proud and excited to be a founding partner at The Women's Center of Excellence (WCE). Her special interests in adolescent female health, high risk pregnancy and complicated gynecological issues complement the services at WCE. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez strongly adheres to applying medical practices that have the best evidence for the best outcomes for her patients. She takes a collaborative approach to care, always involving a patient and her family in medical decision-making, as appropriate. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez graduated from the St. Mary's University Honors Program. She earned her MD from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed her specialty training at the UTHSCSA Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. During her residency at University Hospital in San Antonio, she was awarded the prestigious Arnold Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine and Teaching Award and served as the Administrative Chief Resident.Originally from El Paso, Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez is proud to now call the Rio Grande Valley her home. She is married to a physician, who is a Brownsville native, and they have two young sons. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez hobbies include spending time with her family and friends and volunteer work. She is an active member of The Junior League Of McAllen. Dr. Almonte-Gonzalez is bilingual in English and Spanish and treats adolescent and adult patients. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Liliana Padilla-Williams, MD, FACOG was born and raised in Brownsville Texas. After graduating from high school she went to Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies, then on to The University of Texas at Houston Medical School. She completed her residency training in Shreveport, La where she met her husband. She is currently board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and provides up to date evidence based medicine to all her patients.Her main interests involve educating her patients in living a quality lifestyle including healthy eating, proper exercise, and preventive medicine to avoid life long illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity. She feels starting at a young age will provide the needed foundation to a healthy life. She offers nutritional counseling as well as vitamin supplementation. She sees women in all stages of their reproductive life from childhood issues, to postmenopausal women.

Dr. Alberto D. Duran was born in San Antonio, Texas and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. He attended Our Lady of the Lake University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991. He was accepted to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where in 1996 he received his Medical Doctor degree. He proceeded to complete the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program in the same Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas in 2000. He has been practicing in the Rio Grande Valley since then. Dr. Duran enjoys outdoor activities, especially golfing.
