Dr. David Cuellar is a graduate of the UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and completed his residency at the University of Maryland. Dr. Cuellar also completed an advanced training fellowship in minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery and complex stone surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He has special interests in robotic surgery and laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of all genitourinary cancers. Dr. Cuellar serves as the head of Urology at Seton Northwest Hospital (2017-present), a position he held at St. David's North Austin Medical Center for the six prior years. He has been on the Robotics Steering Committee for both hospitals. In addition, he is a proctor/trainer for the daVinci Robotic Surgical System and began using the Da Vinci robotics system in Austin in 2004. In July 2018, Dr. David Cuellar was honored by Seton Northwest Hospital for being the first practicing Urologist in Austin to complete 1,000 robotic surgeries! Dr. Cuellar has been recognized as a ``Top Doctor`` under the category of Urology in the January 2019 edition of Austin Monthly Magazine. He also received this designation in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. Dr. Cuellar lives in Austin with his wife and 2 daughters and enjoys tennis and golf. He is a member of the Sportsman's Club, supporting the Rise School of Austin, and was recognized as a Physician Recipient of North Austin Medical Center's Frist Humanitarian Award in 2009. Pratima Kamada is a nephrologist in Austin and her areas of interest include glomerular diseases, chronic kidney disease, kidney transplantation and home dialysis. Dr. Kamada received her medical degree from the NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at U.T. Southwestern in Austin and her fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Dr. Kamada is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and baking with my kids, reading thrillers. I also have been learning the Indian classical dance 'Kuchipudi' for past 3 years.
