Dr. Betsy Kay Davis provides comprehensive support and treatment for cancer patients needing dental treatment. She is the National Director for Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Oral Oncology at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare and Trident's Head and Neck Specialists. Dr. Davis completed her dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine and completed her prosthodontic residency at the University of Iowa and a residency in implant prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthodontics at UCLA College of Dentistry. She completed her fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Following fellowship, she joined the faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina and developed the MUSC Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Clinic. She served as the Wendy and Keith Wellin Endowed Chair in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Dental Oncology for 27 years. She currently serves as the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) representative to the Code Maintenance Committee for the American Dental Association and the American Association of Dental Consultants. She is the recipient of the Presidential Citation Award from the American Head and Neck Society, American College of Prosthodontics' Distinguished Clinician Award, and the Andrew J. Ackerman Memorial Award, the highest award from the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics.Her current certifications include prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthodontics, oral oncology, implant dentistry and nasoalveolar molding.
