Louis C. Okafor, MD graduated from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Okafor completed his fellowship in joint preservation, resurfacing, and reconstruction at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. DeGroat is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Hernia Society. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and is the Chairman of the Premier Health system-wide general service line. Dr. DeGroat is board certified in General Surgery and Breast Ultrasound. Dr. DeGroat specializes in general surgery as well as critical care medicine and robotic surgery. She has a special interest in breast cancer, including high risk breast cancer, and provides breast cancer evaluations and care and performs nipple sparing mastectomies.
