Hello, my name is Jerry Guy LCMHC, LCAS. I completed my Masters in Counseling at Liberty University in 2014. I began my counseling career working with clients addicted to opiates. This experience allowed me the opportunity to see the person behind the addiction and help them to find themselves and hope for a new life. I have worked with people from all walks of life and I truly love what I do. My goal is to make everyone I meet feel comfortable and safe and to help them understand they are defined by their past and they can still create the life they want. I believe we all have value and I work to help people grow and succeed . I have been on my own for the past 2 years and I am currently with couples and individuals. I use a variety of different methods and techniques that are tailored to my clients needs. I believe that through my education and life experience I am able to provide a supportive and empathetic approach that helps my clients achieve the results that they want.

I am Natasha Jones Kinto (Lumbee) and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate in the state of North Carolina. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor. I completed my Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2017. I have over three years of clinical experience in individual and group therapy. I received a fellowship award to study addictions and to provide culturally competent counseling services for underserved populations. I have experience working with college students, young adults, adults and elders. My theoretical orientation is Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). I utilize a trauma-informed approach as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI) principles. My techniques focus on the client's motivation to change, their irrational thoughts and effects on behavior. I am person-centered and passionate about service to others. I have a biopsychosocialspiritual perspective to wellness that includes a holistic therapy style. My goal is to provide my clients with the tools that they need to live a balanced life.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and Certified Clinical Supervisor. I have 7 years' experience as a licensed professional, and I have been working with people with a variety of needs and skills for over 30 years. I have a background in disability counseling, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum, PTSD, and Grief and Loss, among other things. I enjoy working with a wide variety of issues, including career and life transitions, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have a great deal of experience working with people with a history of trauma, and I use a trauma-informed approach in all of my work. I believe that therapy is a partnership. Good therapy helps a person identify what goals they truly have, and what areas of life they wish to develop. In order for that to happen, there needs to be mutual respect, trust, and compassion. You get to decide if I am the right fit for you. I use a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
