As far back as I remember, I have been interested in improving the care of patients with cancer through research aimed at developing new and more effective therapies, and by providing compassionate care. I am fortunate to work at an institution that enables me to care for patients within an outstanding hospital and medical college, where I am surrounded by like-minded physicians and staff that are most concerned about the well-being of our patients and their family members. The close relationships I develop with my patients and the continued efforts by my colleagues and me to find a cure inspire me to come to work every day with new hope and determination.

For over a decade I have been taking care of people with lymphoma. At the end of every visit, I want people to know that I have taken the time to develop the plan that is the best for them. I am fortunate to work in a center where cancer care specialists can work along side experts in every field of medicine to care for the whole person. We are working every day to develop better treatments and integrate them into clinical practice. We have been involved in the development of virtually every drug approved for treatment of lymphoma over the past 15 years, including targeted therapies and immunotherapy. In our labs and our clinics we are developing the drugs of the future. We have made a lot of progress in the way lymphoma is diagnosed and treated, and I am determined to continue developing more effective, less toxic therapies.

Pierre F. Saldinger, MD, FACSis the Senior Vice President of Perioperative Services at NewYork-Presbyterian. and Attending physician at NewYork- Presbyterian Queens. He is also a professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr.Saldingerjoins NYP from NewYork-Presbyterian Queens where he serves asChairman of the Department ofSurgeryandSurgeon-in-Chief.He is alsothe Director of theNewYork-Presbyterian surgicalquality and safety programand aProfessor of Clinical Surgery atWeill Cornell Medical College. Adistinguishedandwell-publishedsurgeon,he hasextensiveexpertisein the surgical treatment of cancer and benign disorders of the pancreas,liver, gallbladder, bile ductsand surgical quality improvement. Hestudied medicine at theUniversity of Basel School of Medicine Switzerland,earned his medicaldegree fromSwitzerland's University ofBernSchool of MedicineandaMaster of HealthAdministration from the Mailman School ofPublic Health Columbia University. He completedhis residency inGeneral Surgery at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School, andclinical fellowship in hepatobiliarysurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Saldinger is afellow of theAmerican College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of University Surgeons,the Society of Surgical Oncology, andthe Society of Surgical Chairsamongst others. He is also amember of the editorial board of the Journalof Gastrointestinal Surgery.

Dr. Jini Hyun is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Attending Physician at New York-Presbyterian Queens (NYPQ). After obtaining her Masters of Science in Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy at the Seoul National University in 2001, Dr. Hyun performed research at the University of Illinois at Chicago before obtaining her medical degree from St. George's University in 2013.She was a rotating resident at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in 2015. In 2017, Dr. Hyun completed an internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens where she also served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Hyun completed her hematology and medical oncology fellowship training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center where she held the title of Chief Fellow. Dr. Hyun is part of the Hematology and Medical Oncology team at NYPQ and is accepting new patients.

Jian Zheng, MD, is a surgical oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and an assistant professor of clinical surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. An award-winning surgeon, Dr. Zheng was the recipient of Grant V. Rodkey Award for her scholarship, humanism, leadership, and technical excellence during her chief residency. She was awarded by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with the Chairman's Award for Excellence in Clinical Research. Dr. Zheng has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in surgical oncology in many leading journals, including Annals of Surgical Oncology, Annals of Surgery, and Journal of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of several organizations, including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Zheng earned her medical degree from University of South Florida, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Zheng served her internship and residency in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center, where she was elected to be the administrative chief resident. During residency, she also pursued hepatopancreatobiliary surgery research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Zheng then completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also served as the administrative chief fellow. Dr. Zheng is a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. Her clinical practice includes patients with gastric, hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic cancers, and her interest includes the use of minimally invasive and robotic
