Alison Grann, MD, Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology, takes a special interest in the treatment and research of breast cancer, brain tumors, prostate cancer, and gastrointestinal cancers. He has extensive expertise in various treatment options including: stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and low-dose rate (LDR) and high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. Prior to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Dr. Huang was in private practice in Los Angeles from 2002 to 2017. He was involved in the opening of the Northridge Hospital Medical Center Gamma Knife Center. In addition, he served as Co-Medical Director of the Gamma Knife Center at Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Los Angeles and Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Huang graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology and received his Medical Degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center and subsequently underwent residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Southern California Medical Center. He spent additional time as a fellow at the University of California at San Francisco where he specialized in management of Central Nervous System tumors and disorders.
