I started my career in dance with a BFA from Mason Gross at Rutgers University. After working in the field for three years in arts administration, teaching, choreographing and as a personal trainer, I decided to go back to school for Physical Therapy. I went to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey which is now part of Rutgers University. There I earned my DPT and had the opportunity to intern in various clinical settings. I began working in August of 2013 at Optimum Orthopedics which joined with Professional PT seven years ago. Since then I have worked in our Montclair, Hoboken, Newark locations and was director of our Caldwell office. I am currently working in South Plainfield and thrilled to be on this team. I love treating all patients, but my passions include rehab for dance injuries and pelvic floor rehab.

Joel Hirschhorn has been working at Recovery Physical Therapy since 1998, opening its first facility in Manhattan. Joel specializes in orthopedics and treating sports-rel
