Dr. Haffey received his BA in Literature and Literary Studies in University of Colorado in 2002. He then obtained his DO degree in West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. He completed his internship at Stony Brook Medicine-Southampton Hospital, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia/Cornell in 2020. After his Fellowship focusing on Pain Medicine, Dr. Haffey joined Columbia University Medical Center in May 2021 and Weill Cornell Medicine in February 2025 up to present.

Dr. Ben Shin is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He then attended Baylor College of Medicine wherehe earned his medical degree. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then completed his ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pain Medicine at UC San Diego Center for PainManagement.Outside of work, Dr. Shin is a competitive soccer player and swimmer. As a lifelong athlete, he understands the importance of returning to an active lifestyle and strives to preserve and restore functional outcomes. Dr. Shinultimately aims to reduce pain in his patients while improving their functional recovery, independence, and quality of life.Dr. Shin is fluent in Korean.
