Dr. Salvo is double board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and specializes in knee ligament (ACL) reconstructions, shoulder instability, rotator cuff repairs, and hip arthroscopy. As Director of the Hip Arthroscopy program at Rothman Institute, Dr. Salvo serves as one of the region’s leaders in hip arthroscopy, particularly in athletes. Dr. Joseph Bernardini is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon practicing in his hometown of Vineland, New Jersey for over 30 years. He is a graduate of St. Augustine Preparatory School and Villanova University. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. His orthopedic residency was completed at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Bernardini has been the Director of Orthopedics at the Vineland Development Center since 1979 and serves as the Vineland High School team physician. He is well versed in Orthopedic Spine Surgery and one the first physicians in the area with special training for Kyphoplasty, a minimally invasive technique used to treat spinal compression fractures. Dr. Bernardini also has extensive experience in total joint replacement of the knee and hip.
