I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and I'm licensed as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts. I have a very friendly, laid-back personality and am always eager to help and use a lot of humor in my general approach; however, I am also very comfortable working through serious and difficult subjects in a calm, supportive way. I'm a very happy, positive person and can always find a silver lining in almost any situation! I've been in the human services field since 2011, and my experience is very diverse. I have a lot of experience with substance abuse, depressive and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and ADHD. As a result, my therapy style varies from the standard method to counseling. While I am warm and interactive, I am assertive and direct. As a Clinician, I need to have a foundation set by the client so I can understand why you have come to seek help. I believe that your past is something that happened to you. I do not shy away from issues I have limited exposure to. That being said, if we attempt to work together and I am not skilled enough to help with your particular concern(s), we can discuss how to get you the help you need. Additionally, as therapy progresses and you change and grow, you may find that you need someone new who may be able to bring a different challenge or approach.
