For as long as she can remember, Michell Jordan wanted to be a nurse. Her mother is a nurse and she grew up begging to look in the windows of the nursery at the hospital where her mother worked. Michell volunteered in that same nursery as a high school student. She began working as a nurse in labor and delivery in 1998, and became a nurse-midwife in 2006 to foster that dream. Throughout her career, she's had the opportunity to work in many settings, including home hospice, rural health care for maternity care and a high-risk federally qualified health center. In 2015, Michell completed her DNP at The George Washington University and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
