He has an undergraduate degree in combined sciences from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Irwin earned his Doctor of Medicine from Penn State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency from the University of Pittsburgh, Presbyterian and Veterans Administration Hospitals in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Irwin then completed a cardiology/electrophysiology and pacing fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Caroline. An accomplished author of research papers and articles, Dr. Irwin has contributed to a number of prestigious publications including the American Journal of Cardiology and Journal of American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association and the Hillsborough County Medical Association.

Ansel Philip Amaral, MD, PhD, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Amaral earned his Doctorate in Medicine and Philosophy at the Miller School of Medicine. He completed three fellowships, one in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in genetic arrhythmia syndromes at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. In his free time, he enjoys watching college sports, especially the Miami Hurricanes.
