Dr Ponce is a board-certified ophthalmologist who grew up in Guatemala and graduated from Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala where he obtained his Bachelor in Science and MD degree. His interest in retina started when he did his residency in ophthalmology at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he was involved in retinal imaging studies and lutein measurement. He then continued his training by completing a fellowship in medical and surgical treatment of Retinal diseases at the Infirmary.

Dr Rodriguez's advanced training and experience in cataract surgery, LASIK & PRK, pterygium surgery and in cutting-edge treatments for dry eye syndrome have resulted in him serving on numerous medical advisory boards for several pharmaceutical companies throughout the United States. He is published in medical journals and a frequent guest speaker at key medical meetings on cataract surgery and medical and surgical options for corneal diseases.

Dr Scherer earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and Doctor of Medicine from State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude, respectively, as well as a PhD in visual neuroscience. His program of study included an internship at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, with a focus on internal medicine. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Michigan's W.K. Kellogg eye care center in Ann Arbor. Dr. Shettle is a true native of Pinellas County, having grown up in Clearwater and then graduating from the first complete class at Pinellas Park High School in 1980. He earned his B.S. degree in Biology at Truman State University and graduated from medical school in Kirksville, Missouri in 1988. Dr. Shettle is an Assistant Clinical Professor at both NOVA Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Florida and Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society, Florida Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He received the Presidential Achievement Award from the A.O.C.O.O. in addition to being voted Physician of the Year by the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society in 2006. Dr. Lee Shettle is actively involved in his local, state and national medical organizations in order to stay current with all the rules and regulations that affect the practice of medicine and ultimately patient care. Dr Orlick is the founding partner of the practice. Born and raised in St Petersburg, Dr. Orlick has been proud to serve his community since 1991. After achieving the highest honors at the University of South Florida studying Natural sciences, Dr. Orlick completed his medical studies at the Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Following an internship in internal medicine at the University of Miami, he completed his Ophthalmology training at Tulane University in New Orleans. His interest in diseases of the retina led him to accept fellowship training under Dr. David Meyers at the Vitreoretinal Foundation, Memphis, Tennessee. After a number of years away from home, Dr Orlick returned to St. Petersburg to begin his career as a vitreoretinal specialist and surgeon. His private practice obligations have been balanced by one of his main clinical interests: teaching. For the past twenty years, he has continued volunteering his time in the eye clinic of James A. Haley VA hospital, supervising in the care of veterans while teaching ophthalmology residents. Dr Orlick has vast experience in treating a variety of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, macular pucker and holes, retinal vein occlusions, and uveitis.

Dr. Berger returned to NYU for an additional year to study medical retinology under the preceptorship of Dr. Ronald Carr and Kenneth Noble, world leaders in electrophysiological evaluation of retinal disorders. Vitreoretinal surgical training was achieved at the Vitreoretinal Foundation, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Berger enjoys staying at the forefront of retina-related treatment and diagnostics. As such, he has been an investigator in several multicenter studies, including use of silicon oil in vitrectomy and sustained steroid drug implant for the treatment of diabetic macular edema.
