In 2022, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association asked him to join their new mental health task force to research and educate other surgeons about the psychological associations with musculoskeletal trauma. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Medical Association. Dr. Ciminero uses his Psychology background to provide holistic care for his patients beyond the physical ailment, as trauma affects everyone differently. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Ciminero enjoys camping, nature photography, golf, travel, cooking and the Miami Heat.
