This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Jonathan Sherman, MD, FACC joined Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates in 2014 and thrives off the practice's dynamic and team-focused approach. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He specializes in complex coronary and structural heart intervention to include a special interest in chronic total occlusion (CTO) and valvular interventions. Prior to joining ADCA, Dr. Sherman practiced for seven years in Colorado Springs, but moved to Denver to be closer to family and grow his practice of CTO interventions through collaboration with his ADCA peers. He has an extensive academic and research background, having spent time researching basic principles of medicine and cardiology at each stage of his training. During fellowship, he received a Certificate in Bioinformatics from Oxford University in England, studying the genetics of collateral vessel formation in cardiac patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. Sherman is an avid fly fisherman. He also enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and spending time with his wife and two boys. As a graduate of Cherry Creek High School, he is thrilled to return to Denver to continue his career. Dr. Orhan Sancaktar received his cardiovascular training at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, The University of Illinois at Chicago and The Medical College of Wisconsin. A board certified internist, Dr. Sancaktar was both a resident in internal medicine and pediatrics and an assistant professor in clinical medicine at The University of Illinois at Chicago. Dedicated to providing care to those in need, Dr. Sancaktar served as a volunteer physician at the Chicago Community Health clinic while living in Illinois. He also served as the Chief Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates, Dr. Sancaktar was a hospitalist at the Critical Care and Pulmonary Physicians practice in Aurora, CO.

Samuel Rougas, MD is a Colorado native from Pueblo and is proud to join the leading cardiology group in the state, Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates. This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. Stees was the chief electrophysiology fellow at the University of Colorado in 2009. He was awarded the Gilbert M. Blount Fellowship in 2008 which recognizes outstanding clinical achievement and research potential. He has authored or coauthored 17 cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology peer reviewed journal articles.Prior to his fellowship in electrophysiology, Dr. Stees worked as a hospitalist and intensivist at Saint Anthony's Central with the Critical Care group, as well as, in cardiology private practice. Dr. Stees was named Top Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Top Doctor by 5280 Magazine in 2016 and 2017.

Staeci Lee is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in cardiology at Denver Heart. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Valparaiso University in Indiana. She worked as an intensive care nurse for the next 15 years in Denver, Colorado. During this time, she cared for critically ill patients including those with acute and chronic cardiac conditions and those who underwent cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. Staeci then earned her Master of Medical Science from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and spending time in the mountains with her husband and two dogs.
