Dr Khamsi is a California native and finished his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at UCLA graduating Cum Laude and inducted into the prestigious honor societies Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu. He pursued his medical training at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He completed an orthopedic residency at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDN) where he served as Administrative Chief Resident and was recognized with "Resident Teaching Award" by his peers.
