He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan and his cardiovascular disease training at the Scripps Clinic. Dr. Chen's clinical interests include promotion of optimal health through a sound diet and exercise, as well as management of lipids and atherosclerotic disease. His other areas of interest include valvular disease, heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias. His goal is to help educate his patients in a comprehensive manner so that they can play an active role in their healthcare. Outside of work, he enjoys resistance training, following the NFL, and spending time with his son and wife.

After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from UC Berkeley with honors, Dr. Hamed Bayat went on to receive his medical degree from UCSD School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCSD Medical Center. Dr Bayat completed a fellowship in Cardiology at UCSD Medical Center where he served the next two years as Assistant Professor of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Bayat has been practicing Cardiology with Escondido Cardiology Associates since 2002.

Robert W. Orr, MD, FACC, is a board certified physician specializing in Cardiology. As a Cardiologist, he specializes in the treatment, prevention and management of heart disease. Dr. Orr is a noted speaker and has worked extensively in television, hosting medical talk shows and lending his expertise to television news.
