My name is Lorene Floyd and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Alabama. I received by Masters in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University, Montgomery and my BS degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. I have been working in the mental health field (primarily the Veteran Affairs Health Care System) for 30 years and am currently retired so that I can have more time with my grandkids. The bulk of my experiences include working with individuals with substance abuse problems and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This has equipped me to also be able to relate and treat issues such as anger, anxiety, marital, and stress along with a number of other mental health disorders. I have also recently completed certification to be a Life Purpose Life Coach with the hope that I can help you discover your purpose and develop your passion. I'm relatively easy going and open-minded but believe in being direct and honest. Although I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy, I believe most times that just allowing you to talk about your problems goes a long way towards finding a solution and healing. I'm a very spiritual person of faith and enjoy singing, dancing (only for fun) and walking. I am excited to be a part of a helping team!

I am a licensed professional counselor who has been working for the past 5 years in addictions and mental health. I have worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues and more. I take my approach to counseling from the client's perspective. My approach is client centered, meaning I believe everyone has the ability to help themselves and will do so if given the opportunity. I also use cognitive behavior therapy when clients identify a barrier to their goals. I believe counseling is best begun in the present day-to-day life of the client and assist in helping them be who they want to be. It is my favorite thing in the world to watch people learn and grow. I believe that everyone is capable of great change and that anyone can live a fulfilling life. I am happy to be a part of the process.

I am Leslie S Powers, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Alabama. I have been in this profession forover 30 years, having begun my journey as a Certified Addictions Counselor in 1988. Since then, I have worked in treatment centers and free-standing mental health clinics via private practice, school counseling, and contracting with my county's Department of Human Resources. I am a 1994 graduate of Troy University with a Master's degree in Counseling and Human Development. I am also a certified school counselor. I have a Master of Speech Communication degree from Auburn University. I have earned approximately 40 hours post-graduate in the counseling psychology and ministerial fields. My approach to counseling is cognitive, and I especially appreciate the solution-focused therapies. I believe that clients are the experts at problem-solving given the right questions and goals, and that an accepting counseling environment allows positive outcomes! We'll proceed toward your goals as colleagues, working with humor and respect, serious-minded curiosity, homework and brainwork. If you're coping with longterm mental health issues which require medicine and physician supervision along with psychotherapy, I'm willing to be part of your care team.
