The last time I was in your office was for a cleaning. I had mentioned previously both in writing and on the phone that I’d had gum recession at 24 and 25. That was a huge concern for me, as it was sudden and nothing I’d had before. I was clear that I’d been brushing regularly (2-3 times per day) and flossing and rinsing a minimum of 4 times per day. I told staff - and Sarah when I was in the chair - that my gums were sore and inflamed. Sarah asked if she could use the ultrasonic cleaner on me. I said I’d prefer not since it caused me pain at my last cleaning. She insisted and said, “Let’s see how it goes. We can always stop”. I deferred. My error. Instead of starting somewhere other than number 24 and 25, she went right for those teeth. I about jumped out of my skin and started crying. She told me not to cry. She did not apologize. She then started with traditional scraping of back, lower teeth. I could not take it. I put a stop to the cleaning and left your office in tears.
