Dr. Vicki Zhu, DMD

I am a patient of Dr Zhu's. For over 10 years now. She has a wonderful practice. She knows that if your insurance is not going pay why would anyone do the work. If the patient wants to pay out pocket that's up to them. Pulling teeth issue I had the same thing. I'm glad she pulled it and I didn't have to wait two to three weeks for downstairs to get it done. Her only interest is in your best of health for your teeth. My mouth is now in tip top shape and I am grateful for her services. I have referred 5 family members to her and they are all very happy. I new the first day I went to her practice that it was going to be great. It may sound funny but she has small hands and was gentle with my small mouth.

Snap in dentures never fit correctly from day one and the end of this month (Aug. 2022) will be two years with 8 major problems. From day one my bottom lip has permanent marks on it from biting it and the bottoms have rocked back and forth. Bottom denture snapped in half after 7 months. Top denture has also snapped in half. 4 Top teeth and 1 bottom tooth have just fell out. Any good lab will make the rear teeth with grooves so you chew your food. Not like mine that are flat and I just mush my food. I have pictures that would mortify you! This dentist has no SHAME.

I have been seeing Dr Zhu since she opened up her practice in Peabody -11 years ago. My husband and I have always received excellent professional care. Dr Zhu has state of the art equipment. Two things that are especially important to me is that when we have had an emergency she will fit us in that day, in addition, Dr Zhu will not hesitate to refer a patience to a specialist if she feels as though it is in the patient’s best interest

The hygienists in the office donquality work. However, Dr Zhu comes in and tries to drum up work by overreacting to small problems. My husband has gotten 6 fillings from her and 5 have fallen out within a year or two. I think she uses shortcuts to get work done and it is substandard care.

Dr. Zhu and her staff are amazing dental professionals. I have very high anxiety when it comes to dental visits and they welcomed me beyond my expectations. I was greeted by Dr. Zhu at the front desk on my first visit, she later came to examine my teeth and was very thorough about what needs to be done and options for concerns I have (which she said was completely optional and my decision). Her staff is very friendly and courteous as well. Definitely recommended to my family and friends.

I found Dr. Zhu over four years ago. She is thorough, effcient and always willing to work with my schedule. She is the only dentist I have referred family and friends to. She takes time to explain what is going on and always prioritized patient’s needs. Dr. Zhu is very thorough in her work. Lastly, always on time.

This dentist has canceled on me 3 times with only 2 days notice, citing issues around my insurance. I called my insurance company they say I don't need an authorization. I spoke to the dentist she assured that it would not happen again, it just happened again. Extremely unreliable.

This dentist convinced me she should pull my tooth instead of sending me downstairs to the oral surgeon. So I trusted her it took her over a half an hour to pull my tooth out I have blisters all over the side of my mouth from her hands twisting and rubbing I was in such pain she gave me no pain medicine even after my mother called and complained about the pain girl at the front desk telling another patient she was going on break and went answer her question when she got back.

I would not recommend this dentist as she has preformed unnecessary work on my teeth (costing over $500 and it would have been more until I switched dentists!). Please be aware and get a second opinion.
