Dr. Thomas Hummert, PHD

I've had full dentures since my teen years (65 years) and I have been a patient of Dr. Hummert for at least five years. My dental issues can be a challenge and I found him to be absolutely the best. He listens and he cares.

Dr. Hummert would better be known as “Bait & Switch” Let me be more specific he quotes one price at your first appointment and each subsequent appointment more charges are added and added. I fired this dentist after 3rd appointment when I realized he was unscrupulous and definitely not looking out for my interest — only his own. I paid him several hundred $s up front including $900 for pending future work which was not completed and asked to be reimbursed for this amount when I terminated this relationship. Dr Hummert refused reimbursement of the $900 and advised me to take him to Small Claims Court where he said “I would lose”, Buyer beware stay far away from this Dentist — does this sound like a professional—I think not.

I have gone to dentists all of my life. I have had major work done several times. But Only Dr. Hummert has known how to correct my problem and do 10******* work. He is gentle in his work, he is creative in repairing past negative work, he has a good staff. I could go on and on in complimenting Dr. Hummert and his staff.

Dr. Hummert is the best dentist I have ever been to. I am 78 and have experienced dentures both up and lower since I was twenty-two years old due to soft teeth and letting a dentist talk me into pulling all my teeth because of finances. I suffered with ill fitted dentures until I found Dr. Hummert. Dr. Hummert made my dentures in 2011 and as of today I have not experienced any pain or problem with my dentures. He is concerned about you as a patient and very understanding. Great personality and I would recommend him to anyone with dental problems. I will always be thankful for my dentures that he made me. My experience with Dr. Hummert was an equivalent of going to a 5-star hotel. Dr. Hummert offered me several options, in comparison to other prosthedontists in the Asheville area. His work is impeccable! He thoroughly explained everything that had to be done and was willing to do the work in stages. The caring atmosphere created by Dr. Hummert and his staff was very warm and personable. Wonderful fitting and beautiful removable partials, upper and lower. One thousand times better than the 3 different temporary partials that I had received over the last year and half, from several different offices. The teeth match perfectly and the bite is correct and natural feeling. Thank you !! Dr. Tom Hummert !!

Dr. Hummert and his staff made me feel very comfortable, and explained each procedure carefully and throughly. Each visit was met with a smile by his office staff, and Dr. Hummert routinely called me in the evening, after a procedure to see how I was doing. I've not had another dentist do that. I highly recommend Dr. Hummert!

My experience with Dr. Hummert was great. He answered all my questions and gave me several options. His treatment was the best I have experienced. The best dentist I have ever seen.

My experience with Dr. Hummert was not good. The work was just not that great. He seemed to want to get it over with just as fast as he could and, on top of that he was very arrogant. I spent $5.000 and have very little to show for it. I just could not recommend him to anyone else.
