Dr. Steven Sutherland, DDS

I went to Dr. Sutherland about two years ago for a couple of fillings and two crowns. Both crowns according to my new dentist were placed terribly and are now cracked. When I actually got the first crown I had to get a root canal and then call back for an appointment ASAP, the quickest appointment they could make was two months out (with my temporary crown) a couple of days later my temporary crown fell out, I called and begged for them to replace it. They were able to fit me in two days out and instead of placing it with a more natural tooth feel ( whatever they usually do I'm not a dentist), they took a big bunch of filling like glue and just placed it with this large chunk and not shaved down. When I finally went back for my appointment it took forever for the staff to remove my temporary crown and place the new one.

Dr. Sutherland charged us $6100 dollars to replace ONE TOOTH (an implant) that ended up falling out about 6 weeks later. He said he would refund our money for the botched work. We have to speak with Pearl (office manager?) to accomplish the refund and she won’t return our calls. For weeks we have called and left messages (because we are always told that she “isn’t available” and that she’ll call us right back). She hasn’t. SHE WON’T EVEN TALK TO US!!! This office has also consistently told us that the dental work we need done is not covered by our insurance. Well this situation has forced us to contact our insurance and we’ve found out that the thousands of dollars of work we’ve had done over the last several years WAS ALL COVERED!!!!! They never even submitted a claim. They forced us to pay cash for work that our insurance should have paid for. And they did it in such a way that there is no way for us to recoup the cost now. Also, his license was put on probation in 2017.
