Dr. Stephen Wolpo, DDS

This dentist put, what I would call as a retired Dental Hygienist, crap dentistry in my mouth. I have spent thousand to redo his work, and hours more in the dental chair. Thank goodness I found a great dentist to help me redo. The last thing he did was crown the four bottom incisors. When he placed the crowns he began to adjust the bite by grinding on the upper front teeth. These four incisors had veneers and I asked him to adjust by grinding on the lower crowns. He started to and then ground the upper teeth off to the paperthin veneers, which broke within two weeks. I then did not have enough tooth left to replace the veneer, so I was faced with the expense of four crowns. PLEASE beware.

I used to see him for a few years. Dental Implants should be permanent. I was surprised to see the crown for my implant falling out. My new dentist took x-ray and found that Dr. Wolpo didn’t leave the implant long enough outside for holding. I paid total $8k for 2 implants. He didn’t help for claiming from my insurance so I needed to pay all out of my pocket. I don’t recommend him. Now I need to spend a lot money for fixing his bad work.

I broke a portion of a tooth off and called Dr. Wolpo's office the next day. I went in for an appointment and they took x-rays, then submitted for approval a claim with my insurance. Dr. Wolpo's opinion was that I needed a crown. My insurance denied the claim 3 weeks later and said they would only cover a filling. Dr. Wolpo's team told me that he would not do a filling as it really needed a crown, which I agree with. However, Dr. Wolpo's office was not willing to file an appeal with my insurance. Instead they told me to call my insurance. I spoke to someone at my insurance company and they told me that only my dentist could appeal the claim and that it's a very common scenario. I called Dr. Wolpo's office back and they said they were still unwilling to try and help. I then sent an e-mail asking for my x-rays so I could find a different dentist that would help me. I called and e-mailed a total of 10 times before they finally sent me my x-rays a week later. Would not recommend.

The worst ever. Not trustworthy. Give yourself a favor. Avoid this individual.

I had an emergency tooth extraction, New Year's Eve I was in tremendous pain. Dr. Wolpo came into the office on New Year's day and extracted the took. The extraction was painless. My own dentist would not even help me on New Year's. I recommend Dr. Wolpo to everyone. He is a dentist that cares about patients and he is extremely efficient and painless in what he does. This man is my hero!

Overall outstanding. No waiting. Made me feel comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
