Very good experience!
Flawless. He explained necessary procedure before and during its execution. Pricing was comparable to others in the area. Follow up was caring and thorough. Staff was pleasant and competent. My dentist of many years sold this practice to Dr Gardner, so I didn’t know what to expect. I am glad I gave him the opportunity to perform the procedure I needed. Yes, I recommend him. I should mention I was a chair side dental assistant many years ago, so I do know good care when I receive it.

Im never going back to him
Ive had a few dentists over the years & all have been very good. Dr. Gardner is now at the practice at Palm Harbor where my dentist was but had left. This was my first time with him. I was caught off guard because he's very friendly but his manner felt like his hands were under a roof of a car rather than a mouth. I developed a huge bruise two days later on my cheek that was from him pulling it back to get to my back molars. My gums felt mutilated and bled for two weeks until I came back for the permanent cap. I was worried to go back to him but I had paid ahead. I told him that my mouth was not numb anymore & that I could feel but then proceeded to blow air on two exposed roots before the cap was cemented on. He knew exactly what he was doing. I now understand why some people are afraid to go to the dentist. His assistants are friendly like him, but have the same rough & hurried manner as him. I know Heartland doesn't care about this review but I thought you might want to know.

Would like to request Dr Gardner to contact me ...
Asked PAIGE the 'office manager' to relay a message to Dr Gardner to contact me regarding a visit my mother and her elderly friend had with him yesterday. I believe there are things he should know that may or may not have been relayed to him by his office staff. The police were called on me and we were asked to wait outside in the hot sun with my 88 year old mother while waiting for her transportation van. This is serious. I feel like Dr Gardner should do the right thing and contact me as this should have NEVER happened. My mother was VERY traumatized by this visit by the screaming of ANGELA at the front desk towards us. I DO have witnesses to this. This needs to be addressed. I do hope the Dr sees the importance of us discussing this. I have been advised to ask him to contact me but it is probable he 'office manager, PAIGE' will not relay the message thus me using this venue in hopes the Dr will do the right thing. A police report is available for his review.

Great Dentist,... Not so great staff
On original estimate (nearly $4000), I was told that my insurance would pay $1000... After procedure, I was told "sorry, Ins did not pay anything" They were correct, but why did they tell me insurance was available if it was not. Very disappointing !! Also, phoned for an appointment to correct a minor problem related to a major previous procedure, and was told that 5 weeks out was the earliest available.... When I saw the Dentist, he said that I should have come sooner so I would not have needed anesthesia (needles). Also seemed that Dentist was "working" on 3 patients at same time... maybe is common procedure at other offices, but did cause some "sorry about that" comments from the Dentist. I will still use this Dentist again.

More Than Expected
I recently had two visits to Grand Dentisty. I have not been to a dentist for a few years due to lack of insurance and COVID. I was treated by qualified, professional employees and that was way more than I expected! Thanks all!

BEWARE of Dr. Gardner and Grand Dentistry of New Port Richie. He destroyed my mouth! I went there for one tooth ache and they talked me into pulling four teeth (two of which were good!) and making two partials which after several adjustments never fit. They offered to give me a refund of $1,200.00 and after about a year, I just received a check for $53.00! They added insult to the injury they caused.

He replaced an upper denture that was working fine but no longer fit. He came back with a denture that was wider, had fewer teeth and was not centered and therefore did not chew. He said that it was my fault. Four sessions of grinding it down did not improve the bite, but only made it worse. Of course, he collected his money up front, refused to take any responsibility and was backed up by the leader of this group.

Dr. Gardner is by far the best dentist I've ever had, he knows I have had a lot of dentistry gone bad and he shows care and concern, and honesty, and is willing to help in any way possible to ensure that you leave with a sigh of relief and a smile. Can't really ask for anything else. All of the staff and assistants are very friendly and very helpful as well, respect and love them all.

The quality of work is poor. I had one done on my teeth over 5 years ago and it is still going strong. Another one was done on my teeth about a month ago and it is already falling apart! Their preoccupation is to collect money.

While I feel all the employees were frienly, , professional and accommodating as a senior on a fixed income the rates for future dentistry needs is a bit higher than I can afford on a fixed income. Not sure if I will be able to get the suggested work done at this point in time. Thank you for seeing me as a first time patient however.

Dr. Gardner is very kind, informative, efficient and talented as well as all the staff members I encountered. My tooth broke and they got me in on an emergency visit. It went very well. They gave me hope and encouragement. That helps allay fear. It is a very clean facility with great technology. Everyone is courteous. I had to wait which was understandable with the busy office that it is and I was being accommodated as a first time patient.
