Dr. Sorin Purtuc, DMD

I walked in and the knew I had anxiety and they offered me an anxiety medication that effects driving! I drove myself and I'm a recovering addict (I didn't take it) They told me I needed a 3D X-ray (375 later) and then they told me they THINK I need a root canal then told me ok lets start now! Are you kidding? Meet and treat is horrible!!! Do not trust them they want nothing but your money. They should both have there license revoked. I went to get TWO second opinions and they both said you only have two cavitys. Had both cavity's filled. Do not trust them please listen to me.

I had an initial consultation with Dr. Purtuc about mid April 2023 to explore ongoing pain in two teeth that were recently (within the last year) treated with root canals. Dr. Purtucs' office environment or staff treatment is not being brought into question here. I agree wholeheartedly with a previous review which focused on his pricing. If you have an insurance plan that can absorb his costs, consider yourself lucky. My insurance plan did or does not cover the costs of work that was determined to be necessary. I think I received the same quote as a previous reviewer (1,800.00 for one root canal), an additional 700.00 (or something like that) for the other root canal (insurance will cover the balance), and about 375.00 for an X-ray (3D). I'm still looking for an endodontist...

Dr. Purtuc is the best Dentist ever have. I had a root canal treatment done by Dr. Purtuc today. First of all, his office is very clean and comfortable. Second, he handled my this procedure very careful, through, and perfection. I had two root canal done this week. But, they done by two different Endodontics. Dr. Purtuc definitely is better. He explained my situation, answered my questions. His anesthesia process is very care and through. He make sure I have no feeling around the tooth, then start the procedure. During the procedure, I have no pain at all. You know what after his treatment I am not scare of root canal at all. But, I believe only he can make me feel this way. Finally, the most important result is that tonight I tried to chew food, the tooth he did has no pain and functional, however, the another one done two days ago, still feel pain. From beginning to the final result, Dr. Purtuc is the best. Definitely I will stick with him for future root canal treatments.

Made an appt and called back to inquire about the cost. Left a message with ALL of the pertinent information… No return call. I arrived at the lovely office attached to a lovely home in a lovely suburban setting only to find the cost of my root canal to be more than double the areas competitive rates. My particular needs avg $800-1000. This guy’s pricing began at $1800. The procedure shouldn’t take more than an hour. So he wants to make $1800-2000 an hour. Isn’t that… lovely? It takes me 2 weeks to earn $2000 and that’s way before taxes. How does that kind of pricing make sense and what kind of greed drives it? Needless to say, but I’ll be going elsewhere.

Dr. Purtuc performed a root canal on my front tooth. He was caring, listened to all my concerns and the procedure was performed without pain. I was very pleased.

Dr Purtuc is kind, professional and knowledgeable. The staff is pleasant and friendly. The office is clean and orderly, views from the window are scenic and relaxing with well kept grass, beautiful trees, and wildlife. It sort of made me feel like I was at a spa. Sort of.

Just had a root canal performed by Dr. Purtuc yesterday. Having a huge fear of dental procedures and much anxiety before the procedure, Dr. Purtuc and his staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. During the procedure, he made sure that I was as comfortable as best as he could. I'm not one to particularly leave reviews about anyone but hands down this was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had when it comes to dental surgeries. I would highly recommend him without a doubt!

I had a particularly difficult tooth physiology that complicated my recent root canal. It was smooth sailing with Dr. Purtuc from beginning to end. He's great at evaluating your needs, communicating plan options, administering the numbing agent, and getting the job done. Comfortable and clean surroundings, his professional and friendly demeanor and talented hands all contributed to a very satisfying patient experience. I've had quite a few root canals over the years. This guy did a great job.
