The problem with this dental office is the office staff. The woman who manages the front office, schedules appointments, and processes insurance claims has a beastly attitude. She is uncooperative and is misinformed about insurance coverage. Do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs.

Scheduling with this office is horrific and the staff is constantly turning over. The dentist is aloof and her business practices/billing warrant a change of dental practice. Hygienists range from aggressive to down right spaced out. I’m appalled that she charged patients for PPE during the pandemic, ripping patients off $15/each while most dental insurance covered that - profiting during a pandemic isn’t the way to build a long term business.

It’s hard to know where to begin, at every turn it was more disrespect and disregard for professional standards. As you may know, it’s very hard to find any health care provider in Humboldt County, and it seems that imbalance breads an attitude with many providers that this is still The Wild West, where professionalism is as they see fit, and what works best for them at the time. Dr. Bautista’s dental office is a prime example of this decayed, dysfunction, disrespectful, nightmare that is the Humboldt County health care system. I won’t waste your time here with details of ridiculous wait times for appointments. You will find that at all providers here. I first made an appointment, a new patient, for a cleaning. Instead, I received an exam, a bid on repairs, and an appointment for a few more months down the line for a cleaning. Every time I went back she would act as if it was the first time she looked at my teeth, finding more things she thinks needed repair. I don’t k

Tried to use their website to make an appointment but no one ever got back to me. Had to call them to schedule. Saw them for a cleaning and a few cavities. Every time I had an appointment, they'd call me the day of and ask if I could come in earlier. The staff seem overworked, but at least the dentist did a great job on my teeth.
