Dr. Shashank Joshi, MS

The visit was a complete disappointment. Dr. Joshi was impersonal and rushed, and didn't provide insight nor treatment options. Then I found out, when I received an invoice in the mail, that I owed nearly a hundred fifty dollars for the look-see. The gal on the phone was very nice, but told me, 'You signed the papers.' Turns out they aren't preferred providers for any of the insurances. Despite my telling them way ahead of the appointment who my carrier is, they never told me I would owe anything. They even have a sign at the desk that says payment is due at the visit, but never said a thing while I was there, filling out forms, and giving them my insurance cards. I was granted a 10% discount after I explained the situation. I will never set foot in that office again. Shady deal.

Dr. Joshi was very rough and it was a very painful visit. He said sorry but it can’t be helped. He measured depth of pockets throughout my mouth saying sorry, sorry, sorry the whole time but didn’t sound like he meant it. I told my regular dentist that I would never go back to Dr. Joshi so he recommended I see Dr. Andrew Dow in Eugene. What a world of difference when he was measuring pockets. He never hurt me at all and neither did his Hygenist. If you ever need a periodontist it is well worth the trip to Eugene even if you reside in Roseburg.
