Very bad first experience! I took my sons there for preventive care after being advised my insurance was fully accepted, only to find out after the service was rendered that they were "out of network" and I had to pay out-of-pocket for preventive care which is normally covered 100% by my insurance. The receptionist did not even bother to check with the insurance company as to how much was covered...Rather, she insisted I pay 50% of total cost as they had no history with my insurance and did not know how much the insurance would cover after being billed. I had to call the insurance myself and found out it covered 70% for out of network services (preventive care). The receptionist had the audacity to tell me they prefer to be out of network as they had to "make money after all." I have seen highly rated and well known dentists when I lived in NYC and this was never the case! Do not recommend unless you don't care about throwing money away!!!

Ive been a patient here for 7 years and couldn't recommend a dentist more highly. He is very thorough and his assistants are extremely knowledgeable. His front office staff are organized, helpful, and they make all patients feel welcome. Overall, Dr Rice is an exceptional dentist.
