I had an experience with Dr. Christopher Carillo at Scott Fishman, DDS in Downey, CA, that led me to file a formal complaint with the California Dental Board.Parents were not allowed to be present, despite my child being scared and asking for comfort. Pain management was promised, yet the experience was anything but pain-free. When my child cried out, instead of reassurance, my child was told to be quiet. Staff were talking casually about a haunted house instead of focusing on patient care.After the procedure, my child was visibly in distress, yet we were told everything went fine. No one followed up, despite being assured that we would be contacted if there were concerns.I am posting this because parents deserve to know that if something goes wrong, they have the right to file a complaint beyond just leaving a review.
