I was a patient of Dr. Schmidt for four years. I am older and have a pretty good idea when something does not feel right. Two year ago I developed a sore on my tongue that I was sure was coming from my bite which way off. I said this to the Doctor and was told it wasn’t possible. I was given antibiotics, prednisone, and magic mouthwash. I was told to come back in 2 weeks which I did. The sore was bigger and very painful. He said that I needed to get it biopsied. I did and it was extremely painful. The biopsy was negative for which I was very grateful. I went back and had my teeth cleaned the following week (this was over 6-8 weeks of pain). The Doctor filed my teeth after they were cleaned. Immediately the sore began to heal. It was closed by the end of a week. I reported this to Dr.Schmidt. Fast forward to 2022, my tongue was starting to feel sore on the other side. I did not wait until it opened this time. I said on the telephone that I needed the teeth on the other side filed down. I could not believe it when he told me again that it wasn’t from my teeth. He had a prescription ready for prednisone and magic mouthwash. I asked him to file the teeth. It would have taken5 to 10 minutes at the most. He said my tongue was only red and not open. I had told them that on the telephone but it hurt a lot and I didn’t want it to get like the last time. The biopsy was extremely painful until it healed. He said he didn’t have time to do anything then and he handed me the prescription for the steroids and mouthwash and he also handed me the bill. I
didn’t look at the bill until I came home. He charged me for the visit but also for x-rays that he didn’t do. I told myself after the first biopsy that I would not do it again so I will find another dentist. I am sure he can be a good dentist but he does not listen to his patients.

I had made an appointment, it is downtown Atlanta, they do not have a parking lot. They sent me directions to 30 North Ave NE... which is down and across the street (I figured out later.) I called and they said "that" was not the parking for them; it was another hotel. Drove around for 45 minutes called four times, and they couldn't explain the parking garages location they uses. After 45 minutes of looking, I found it! Then, I had to wait 15 min. for someone to move their car to park; and then register my car for the parking inside the lobby... The garage is very small garage. All in all, took about one hour. I had a 30 minute consultation. I was told by the attendant that that address didn't exist. They dentist said that is what they give everyone. Don't follow the dentist address, go to the dentist address. I need to look for a dentist with a parking lot.
