Dr. Richard Murias, DDS

I broke a tooth (the crown fell off) and wanted to know if the tooth could be saved or should be pulled. So I made an appointment for 8/12/2022 at May River Crossing Dental. Almost seven (7) weeks later, as of 9/28/2022, the tooth hasn't been touched. All they did was take a ton of x-rays and have Dr. Murias give me an exam. At the end, they gave me a "treatment plan" that cost roughly $3,600 and listed the broken tooth repair as the fifth step in a process of six visits. A second appointment was set for 10/5/2022. Also, they billed my insurance company $262.00. When I complained about the delay in fixing the broken tooth, they said they would change the treatment plan and take care of the tooth first, but when I went to that appointment (on 9/28), Dr. Murias kept me waiting 40 minutes while he talked to another patient down the hall. When he finally came to the exam room, he thought I was there for a filling. I left in a huff and will never return.

Had to look up how to treat a pregnant patient. Berated staff in front of me, both to staff and under his breath. Told his asst he was going to ignore one of my cavities because it was a back tooth and they're such a pain in the butt to fill. I ended up having to have that tooth extracted a couple of months later and a filling done on the one next to it. Gave me a filling when I needed a root canal and a crown. Went on a political tirade to my husband at his appt. 5 appts with him, never again.

Gentle cleaning. Nice office and staff. Did not feel rushed by the doctor.
