Dr. Peter Kaufman, DMD

I have been a patient of Dr, Kauffman for many years. I have had extractions, implant work, x-rays, etc. I have never had a problem scheduling appts., which are always on time. Staff is always friendly and he keeps his little puppy Jack in the front office, which I adore as I am an animal lover. I am very happy with Dr. Kauffman and mt dentist Dr. Dorociak, works hand in hand with him.

Love Dr. Kaufman. He’s the maestro as far as I am concerned. Had to have 5 different teeth pulled over last few years with bone grafts and implants. Just had sinus lift bone graft that I was concerned about due to small amount of bone available and nature of procedure. Went flawlessly wo anesthesia. He is unpretentious and a very nice man. His staff is also very kind.

My husband was scheduled for major oral surgery on a Friday. The Thursday before, he went personnally to the office to confirm everything was ready and they assured him it was. He and I both took the day off work Friday, and I arranged for child care so I could be with him. We were there for the first appointment of the day and we were 15 minutes early. After sitting in the waiting area for 30 minutes, they called him up to say they could not proceed because they had "too many consults" booked for the day! They were unsympathetic and said there was nothing to be done. I however was VERY insistent, as we had personally invested time and money, that it be done that day. They did proceed, but I witnessed the staff calling other patients to cancel or reschudule their appointments. They were as unsympathetic on the phone as they were in person. I also witnessed another man come in for a scheduled extraction only to be told to come back in a few hours. Totally unacceptable and shocking.

I had not had an extraction in many years. Dr Kaufman’s kindness put me totally at ease. I had absolutely no pain. It’s been 3 days and I have no discomfort. He is wonderful!

HE DID A GREAT JOB PULLING MY TEETH

I was referred to Dr. Kaufman for an extraction. It took 4 weeks to get an appointment at 9:30 am. I arrived on time yet at 10:30 nobody had bothered informing me why there was a delay, I asked the question. During that first hour I watched in horror as the apparent office manager was maskless and the receptionist was often wearing her mask as a chin bra. At 10:45, I was called to come in to a treatment room. The person who seated me was nice enough but he too had trouble with his mask, constantly pulling it back up over his nose. He volunteered to me that he had had COVID recently, no surprise there. His job was clearly to distract me while waiting for Dr. Kaufman but he got bored with that after about 20 minutes. At 11:30, two hours after my appointment time, I overheard discussion in the next room about Dr. Kaufman getting to them in about 25 minutes. As I rose to remove my bib to leave I noticed wires to a plug, insulation frayed at my feet. Don't go here!

Kind, compassionate, highly skilled, it seemed to me.

My wonderful dentist (Dr James Hazlett) referred me to this amazing Oral Surgeon for a tooth extraction. His fantastic, kind staff fit me in quickly as I was in excruciating pain. Dr Kauffman was very careful and examined thoroughly to ensure extraction was the best answer; how to minimize my discomfort etc. He was gentle, reassuring, knowledgeable, skilled - flawless. I am so glad my dentist referred me to him. I wouldn't want sophisticated dental work done by anyone else. 10 out of 10!

I have a complicated jaw history and Dr. Peter Kaufman is wonderful with me! He is an excellent oral surgen and truly a kind and gentle giant. I only want him to treat me! His staff is very kind too! If you need an oral surgeon, don't hesitate. He is an awesome Doctor!!!

There is no other surgeon i would ever let touch my family! Tbe best surgeon out there by far.

I had two teeth pulled yesterday and the experience was wonderful. I chose to be asleep during the procedure and both Dr. Kaufman and his staff put in the IV and got me to sleep with ease. I had very little discomfort and bleeding with the extractions.

I was referred to Dr. Kaufman on 8/15/16 to have a cracked tooth removed. Upon examination, he said he didn't have time to remove the tooth and stated that he would have to consult with my regular dentist. I was charged $125 for a "consultation fee". I have emailed him, twice, to find out my status, and received no response. Today's date is 9/27/16.

I have several complicated dental issues. Having known Dr. Kaufman for many years I can only tell you he is the BEST in Sarasota ... Cannot recommend him highly enough!

Just moved here from up north needed an oral surgeon, I would highly recommend hhim to anyone very gentle.
