Dr. Peter Barnett, DMD

Went in for 2 procedures, and will now need multiple corrective surgeries throughout this year and next, many lost hours from work, with cost into the thousands.

What an absolutely ridiculous new patient experience I had!!! After part of a filling fell out during the weekend I left them a voicemail stating I would like to have the issue repaired and get a cleaning and asked them to please contact me Monday. To my delight they did so that morning and said they would work to get me in ASAP to fix the issue. I stated it was not down to the root and therefore not real painful and informed them instead of just fixing the filling I would like to schedule a cleaning as well. She informed me that would not be possible until Wednesday, to which I said great, put me down for that at 9:30am. I received a new patient welcome call from Dr. Barnett that Tuesday stating they were excited to see me the next day, he had reviewed the notes and understood what outcome I was seeking in my scheduled visit. Long story short, after arriving, getting x-ray's, sat in the chair, read the riot act about what all extras they offer and being told the doc would look in my mouth to determine what type of cleaning was need, I was told by the assistant there was no where in the notes about a filling needing fixing. I stated that is the main reason why I am here, she asked me to wait, came back again and said there is no staff here to do that today. She went to talk to Dr. Barnett and was sent back to tell me his schedule was full today and could not do anything about the problem. I stated to her, well there is no reason to proceed with a cleaning or my new patient visit b/c the filling repair is the main priority and if you can't do it then I will need to go to another dentist to do so. I attempted to call Dr. Barnett after I left since he never even had the courtesy to come out and speak with me while I was there and have yet to hear back.

Dr. Barnett explained my dental condition thoroughly and took the time to answer all my questions. Overall an excellent experience. The office is decorated more like a spa than a dental office. I was terrified of dental appointments until coming to Dr Barnett. The warm neck wraps, the massage chair, the hot wax hand wraps, and TV with headphones make dental visits a treat instead of a torture.

Excellent experience. Fast, friendly, efficient...amazing Team. Dr. Barnett called me the day before my first appointment to welcome me to the practice....amazing! Never had that happen before. I already recommended to friends & family...and will continue to do so.

This was my second visit. Outstanding staff, the minute I walked through the door, always greated by staff. Office area is spotless and very welcoming. Dr. Barnett is very professional and very friendly to visit with. I have found the very best dental office to take care of my dental needs. Great dentist. Have been going for several years and will continue. I've never felt that he is trying to sell me treatments that aren't necessary like I have with other dentists in the past. He's honest and genuinely cares about your dental health. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dentist in Plano.

I needed a new dentist once I moved to Texas and I couldn’t be happier with Star Ranch Dental. Great customer service from the moment I entered the door. No long wait, although they do have a nice waiting area. Staff was very professional and unlike many dental offices where the Dentist where’s multiple hats, this one puts them to shame. An DA sets you up, the hygienist provides a thorough cleaning, and the dentist ends the appointment with a thorough analysis with recommendations. Great experie

Great Dentist! very friendly and also preventative! Him and his staff look for things before they become big problems. They also make visits very comfortable with providing the options of hot or cold towel and you can watch TV while getting your cleaning or procedure!

Lets face it nobody likes going to dentist. However, going to Star Ranch Dental the experience is different from the moment you walk in. I have been going 10 years and there has not been one moment where somebody from the staff has not greeted me and by my name. The decor is mellow with water features through out. The staff are awesome, friendly and really know their stuff. I've had all sorts done to my teeth and would highly recommend Star Ranch Dental to anybody

Amazing! I suffer from major anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. Everyone at this office made me feel comfortable and in control. Dr. Barnett explained to me what was needed, but never once made me feel pressured on making any rash decisions. I highly recommend this dentist office. The environment and staff are fantastic too!

Dr Barnett and staff are always so welcoming and inviting! A staff member always meets you in the lobby upon arrival. i have had a number of procedures done at Dr Barnett's office. From cleaning to finishing off implants, they do an incredible job making it as painless as possible. Excellent team!! I am very thankful for them.

Dr. Barnett is always very courteous and patient to hear about the issues that I am having at the time. He never recommends unneeded treatment unlike my other experiences that I have had with other dentist in the area. Also, I want to mention Dr. Barnett staff. They are exemplary at customer service. The moment that you enter the building they treat you like you are the only patient in the office.

As always, the quality of service at Star Ranch Dental is top notch. From scheduling an appointment around my busy work schedule, to the friendly customer service among the entire staff, to the time spent with me by Dr. Barnett and Darcy explaining each step of the way in terms that you can understand.
