Dr. Paul Mann, DDS

I Saw Dr. Mann few months ago to assess if I needed a root canal, he stated I did Not. Fast forward to November 26th. I saw my Dentist again due to an abscess that developed on same tooth also a whopper infection whereby, he ordered a round antibiotic (z-pack) and referred me back to Dr. Mann for root canal. Dr Mann would see me in two weeks (no urgency). By this time the infection had gotten so bad my only option was to extract a perfectly healthy tooth, and I am just sic about it. The kicker is my insurance would have paid for this and the crown had he done the root canal the first time I saw him, but they Won't pay for the implant, so now I have to come up with $2900. I am upset that I lost a healthy tooth, and I am upset because this could have been avoided if Dr. Mann would have taken that small dark image on the x-ray seriously. I saw Oral Surgeon for extraction on December 16, the infection was so bad he couldn't continue with the services at this time. I go back January 7th.

I went to Dr. Mann for a possible root canal. He is very patient and knowledgeable. After a thorough exam and x-ray, he determined that a root canal is not indicated at this time. I really appreciated his expertise and honesty. I would highly recommend Dr. Mann.

When my general dentist needed an expert opinion about dental pain, thinking I may need a root canal on 2 different teeth that were causing me pain, she referred me to Dr. Paul Mann with confidence, stating he had diagnostic techniques and technology that she didn't. Dr. Mann was very kind and patient in my description of my symptoms and gave me a thorough exam with and took plenty of time to explain his thought processes behind his evaluation and treatment recommendations. He could have recommended a root canal, (which, honestly, would have benefitted him personally), but he said he didn't think that was indicated at this point at all and gave me great instructions on self-care that would likely abate the pain I was having. I was very impressed with his gentle exam and his obvious integrity, and would definitely see him again if the need arises, as well as recommending him to friends or family!
