Disappointed at bedside manner

Unprofessional Doctor!

This Doctor is associated with Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio. Office did not communicate what was required by us before appointment. Doctor came out make sure we knew he wasn't going to see our kid, NO EXCEPTIONS. He did not care his office dropped the ball. Took no ownership of the issue. Kept talking and raising his voice over ours to make sure we knew he was in charge and not going to see my kiddos (who were present during all of this). Finally confirmed it was a miss communication between Doctors offices. Still received no apology from this Doctor and no one ever will. He's always right and you know less because you're NOT a Doctor. If you're OK with just doing what a doctor says without questioning them, then this is your guy. The worst part is that I work for the same Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio he does, WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT for me trying to show off how great the Doctors. I'm not mad just very disappointed.

Dr Dutta was pleasant and the visit went well, however, both visits we were kept waiting more than 30 Minutes. Our second visit was for the extraction of 2 baby molars the procedure went well and I paid the estimated cost required. Once the claim went through insurance I saw Dr Dutta’s office had me paying $276 for the extractions and I s indicated my portion was $28, the office was balance billing me the difference of a surgical extraction and a regular extraction. That is fraudulent. The ins company indicated it was processed as a regular extraction because the xrays and documentation submitted didn’t correspond with Requirements to be considered surgical. Dr Duttas office has balance billed me the difference between the 2 extraction amounts. This is fraudulent. If you see this provider make sure to look at billed amount vs insurance.. they are now holding $136 of my money ransom. We won’t ever go back

UNPROFESSIONAL! Our first and ONLY visit was today. The dentist spent the entire time lecturing me on breastfeeding my daughter, who is only 19 months (the World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding until 2 years “and beyond”). I understand nursing may increase the risk of cavities, and that as a dentist he is obligated to discuss that risk, but he completely overstepped the line of professionalism by telling me that I need to wean my daughter and having the nerve to try to give a timeline for when to do it. This is completely outside of his job as a dentist and was an invasion of privacy. He said her teeth looked great - no cavities - so WHY the condescending lecture? He also did not attempt to engage the participation of my daughter during the cleaning - he just opened her mouth while she lay there crying and poked around like nothing was happening. Many other dentists are patient enough to make the experience positive for kids. One of them will be our new dentist.

What a great feeling you get when you don’t have to worry about telling you kids that they have an upcoming dentist appointment. Dr. Dutta and his staff make the kids experience very pleasant. The clinic is so clean and nice, the staff very friendly and Dr. Dutta makes you feel like family. I highly recommend World Pediatric Dental.

Absolutely love Dr Dutta’s office. Not only is it conveniently located but they were so helpful with my twin 1 year old girls. They quickly checked us in, assist me with both babies, and Dr. Dutta quickly and gently cleaned their teeth. Best experience ever!

Best Pediatric Dentist Ever! My special needs 8 year old needed dental work that would require him to be under anesthesia. Dr. Dutta reviewed my sons medical history and dental history then developed a plan. His office worked with my insurance and the hospital to setup the procedures (x-rays, extractions, crowns and fillings!). I was walked through the process, my questions answered and my concerns were listened to. During the procedures, Dr. Dutta took the time to talk to me about a change he wanted to make, getting my approval before proceeding. The day after the procedure his office called to check on my son's recovery. During my son's follow up visit, Dr. Dutta offered to consult with my son's speech therapist now that his tongue was freed. I highly recommend Dr. Dutta for any child's dental needs. He has a warm and friendly manner, and is really great with kids!

World Pediatric Dental is such a gem! We are so grateful to have found such a knowledgeable dentist, a fun, clean and warm environment that keeps the children at ease. Our son’s cardiologist highly recommended Dr. Dutta to us. Dr. Dutta’s personality made our son feel safe by talking directly to him. Dr. Dutta has become a blessing to our family.

The team there is incredible and extremely customer service friendly. Dr. Dutta is very patient with children and does an excellent job in trying to calm any fears the patient may have. I highly recommend his services.

Dr. Dutta is direct and knows how to handle children, each in their own way. He asks you questions and cares/addresses all concerns. we have two boys age 6 and they're completely opposites . One is the best patient a dentist could as for and the other will make the dentist work for it. Dr. Dutta checks with us about how he may speak with him and then really gets our sons buy-in to agree to cleaning, fluoride, fillings, sealant, you name it. The waiting area is amazing. Coffee and water!

We LOVE Dr.Dutta and his office! The kids always have a great time, which is not how I felt about my childhood dentist. I drive from downtown to go there because I cannot find another pediatric dentist that is comparable! The staff is always so kind and helpful and the environment really puts the kids at ease.

Love the office, the staff and Dr. Dutta!! The visit is always quick and informative and my kids love going! They always take care awesome care of them and they get fun little treats at the end. I recommend them highly if you’re looking for a pediatric dentist!
