Dr. Neil Woloshin, DMD

My daughter has been a patient of Peninsula Dental in Millsboro, DE for over 3 years and have always followed the protocol they implement blocking parents permission to accompany children back to the exam rooms. However, during today’s visit, my daughter (11 years old) felt uncomfortable being alone and wanted my support for an emergency dental procedure. When the hygienist denied my request to follow her back to the exam room, I told her that I understand the usual protocol, but am requesting that I be allowed to be in the room during this specific appointment. She angrily shook her head and said she would get the doctor. When the dentist ( Neil Woloshin) arrived, I began to explain that her tooth had broken down the center but he cut me off with a rude and combative tone by chastising me, saying ‘ I was not speaking to you, I was speaking to her’ ( my daughter). I smiled and told him we will be seeking a new dentist and escorted my daughter out of the office. The experience was jarring and unexpected for a healthcare facility in 2024 - especially with minor females with a male doctor. A phone call and email has been submitted to the DPR lead investigator who agreed that she too would find this protocol concerning.

Dr Woloshin has been my family and I trusted dentist for years. He is pleasant and up front with you, giving you options. I got a root canal done and never felt a thing unlike many testimonies of how painful they are. I have and would definitely continue to recommend Dr. Woloshin to anyone looking for a dentist.
