Dr. Milton Davenport III, DMD

Dentist gave me a referral for a consultation with Milton Davenport for an evaluation of tooth numbers 13, 14, and 15 because I was having sensitivity in that area. I ended up having root canal treatment that wasn’t necessary. The cause of the sensitivity was a cavity that went unnoticed by the dentist who had given me a complete examination and full-mouth X-rays. Milton Davenport performed root canal treatment on Tooth Number 15. I called his office a month later because I was still having sensitivity. The receptionist said the cost for the visit would be $100. I did’t go back. I went to see a new dentist who saw in X-rays that the root canal treatment on Tooth Number 15 was only partially done. Over half of the nerve remained in the tooth. That wasn’t the reason for the sensitivity. He found a substantial cavity in Tooth Number 13. After he treated the cavity, the sensitivity that I had for months stopped.

I've had two root canals with Dr. Davenport. No pain, never any issues and he let's me pick the music. I would highly recommend.

I'm disappointed to have to part ways with Dr. Davenport. I recently learned of a tooth abscess and was referred by the dentist to another endodontist. Dr. Davenport has treated me in the past, so I made an appointment with him. I told Dr. Davenport's office I had a 3D image from the dentist—more than two weeks ago when I made the appointment with Dr. Davenport. Today, the office calls to say I will need to have a new image taken at a cost of $200 b/c Dr. Davenport won't use the existing image—and the redundant procedure isn't covered by insurance. Also, I would receive no treatment beyond the 3D image until additional appointments were scheduled. If you're seeing an endodontist, at least in my experience, you're in a fair amount of pain/discomfort. After waiting more than two weeks, do I want to wait another two weeks plus for actual help with the pain/discomfort?

Dr. Davenport is incredible. I have had some horrible experiences with dentists in the past and have become a very anxious patient due to this. Dr. Davenport was very patient and kind throughout the procedure. His work has been great and I have had no issues with my tooth ever since.

Dr. Davenport is the absolute best! He is kind and very gentle! I have never had such a great and pain-free visit . Dr. Davenport is professional and has a great personality.
