Dentist allows the assistants to do much of the work without checking on them. Quality of work and the accounting practices are questionable. Office staff and dentist becomes defensive when you question questions about the practice.

I have gone to Dr. Murphy for several years, and he is good but very expensive, I went in for root canals, sat in the chair for 1 hour while my mouth numbed (so he could go see other patients), this entire time I sat in the chair with my mouth full of a plastic device. He kept going in and out of my room to see other patients, I was scheduled for these procedures. It cost me 3,000.00 for 3 1/2 hrs. Physicians don't make 500.00 or more an hour. And dentist do not pay high insurance rates.

I have been going to Dr. Murphy for 8 yrs. and have always experienced the best of the best! I have an immunity issue with my tongue and a Fischer tongue that has created tongue thrashing and a grinding issue! It has caused a serious overbite. Dr. Murphy designed a special retainer for me and immediately learned how to resolve this rare condition with his expertise and perseverance! I am a work in progress!
