Dr. Michael Melek, DDS

I have been a patient of Dr. Malek for some 7 years (having found him on weekend office hours) to fix a painful failed crown created by my former dentist in Florida. The moment I walked through the doors, I felt right at home. Between the great Doc, his daughter, Kenzie, his son, Dr. Connor Malek, and his staff member, Katie, my emergency issues were dealt with, and all my apprehension, (by useless dentists previously) was gone. Dr. Malek is kind, knowledgeable and extremely meticulous. He explained, in terms I could understand, that an implant was the best path forward and then had his insurance administrative staff generate an accurate cost for the procedure, prior to implementation. Scheduling times are respected by all of his staff, and I get useful text reminders of the date and time of my appointment. They all have the gift of a sense of humor, so the visits are enjoyable! I would give them 10 stars if I could - highly recommended.

I think it’s pretty easy to know when a review is real and when is NOT, of course the 5 stars look sooo good to be true and I’m sure they are NOT written by real patients, on the other hand, the 1 star reviews look authentic and expose the real person behind this business, because is that: a business! He and his team (his family) will do everything to take your money with any excuse, like thay did with mine and the other people who wrote the real reviews.

Short tempered. Terrible manners with staff. Specific treatment I asked for wasn’t set up for appt. so got my teeth cleaned and HE was angry at ME! Don’t know why I went back but I did and the next appointment was even worse. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

At my follow up appointment when I arrived I was told the work had not been scheduled! So I got my teeth cleaned and left, after being forced to schedule another appointment to get the work I had already scheduled performed I.e. huge inconvenience. As of the 3rd apointment, not only did I actually have to ask the Doctor explicitly for the follow up work he had recommended, as yet again due to whatever oversight or downright breakdown in communication... The work still somehow did not appear to be scheduled. So, with palpable irritation, Malek proceeded to inspect my teeth, which wasnt even necessary as I was supposed to be there for follow up work. The conclusion? He recommended a totally different treatment than had been recommended the first appointment! In fact, the recommendation to get a crown directly contradicted his first assessment which stated quite clearly that the tooth was structurally too week to get a crown. I literally walked out on this creep! ..Youve been forewarned.

I pd. Upfront for extracting teeth, Dec., 2018. Never went to him in 2019 ever. And now have all kinds of fraudulent claims coming in all of 2019. This guy beware-he’s a crook.

My Mother had to have some teeth extracted, we paid cash, since she did not have insurance. They set up the amounts for her to pay and pulled her teeth. We paid for that, plus $300 for a discount on anything. Then we went back a week later for him to see her mouth and how is it healing. I do not know what happened that day, he was upset and told my Mom that he did not want to do her dentures, because of the bone loss and said they may not fit. Gave us a name of a dentist. Disappointed!!!!

I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. I was not notified he took over Dr. Rym Partridge's office. He barely looked inside my mouth and he made me very uncomfortable. 6 months later I get a bill stating my insurance is not excepted.
