I have a lot of dental issues due to radiation treatment for oral cancer. Because it zapped my salivary glands & I don't make as much saliva, I am prone to decay. I wear fluoride trays and have cleanings every three months. Dr. Martinson never treated a patient like me before, and he gave me incorrect information about the protocol for applying silver diamine fluoride, after I had two coronectomies, removal of the crown of the tooth but not the root. Extraction of a root can cause trauma to the tissues which can potentially not heal due to radiation and can lead to osteoradionecrosis: bone death of the jaw. This can lead to disfigurement and even death. Because Dr. Martinson applied only one SDF treatment and because his hygienists were not very thorough and because they canceled my teeth cleaning appointments twice, I now have to have an extraction and fear getting ORN. When I told Dr. Martinson this, he dismissed me as a patient and ccanceled another cleaning. Not caring or competent
