Dr. Michael Chambers, MD

I am a cancer patient who has endured 30 radiation and 6 chemo treatments for throat cancer. I needed a tooth extracted. There was a very high chance of complication, loss of blood flow relating to the bone becoming necrotic. Dr. Chambers was amazing. He has an M.D. in addition to his oral surgery credentials. He understood the risk, consulted with colleagues with applicable expertise at U Penn, and came up with a plan which included specific prescriptions well in advance and after the surgery. His surgical skills were excellent, I experienced no pain in prep, during the surgery, and no complications thereafter. Dr. Chambers called me at home on several occasions to both advise me of next steps as well as monitor my progress. These calls were after hours and from his personal phone. Chambers does his homework, is a skilled surgeon and a caring human being. He is one in a million. Words cannot express my gratitude for his dedication in going the extra mile for me.
