Dr. Marc Rosenthal, DMD

I had two good experiences with this oral surgeon. However the third time I went to see him for my consult, he was not at the office in Muncy where I had previously gone. I was 20 minutes early for my appointment. Until we got back to Williamsport of course we were 20 minutes late. He would not see me. I was not a new patient. I never received an email or letter telling me he was closing that office therefore I had no way of knowing he had moved, which I understand was a year or more before my scheduled appointment in November of last year. I found it interesting that the office could send me birthday greetings but not inform me of the change of office locations! I also felt he should have been willing to work me in to his schedule since my being late was his fault not mine. Very poor professional way of doing business. Also I did note that all three addresses of his offices were on the consult sheet. Not a good experience at all. Went to another oral surgeon.

Dr Rosenthal was great. Explained procedure in detail. Some of his front desk staff, however, are terrible. If there was anything beyond scheduling an appointment they didn't want to be bothered. Very rude, short, and unwilling to help sort out any insurance coverage. I have dual coverage and they were insistent I pay for the whole procedure up front. The very first time I called the office they didn't state where I was calling "How can I help you". The front desk staff is vital to any practice because they're the first interaction with patients and this will make or break a place. Wouldn't recommend

Rude/Rushed - Prior to my son's surgery I was told there would be a fee owed at time of surgery. All of my son's co-ins. and deductibles were previously met so that was incorrect. The staff argued with me over this. After speaking to my ins. company they said I was accurate and called Dr. Rosenthal's office to clarify. The day of surgery the nursing staff was also rude and rushed. 2 of them speaking at the same time giving vague instruction of care & less than 5 min of my son waking up from full sedation we were rushed out the door. That night when my son still had extensive bleeding I called after hours number to be sure this was normal or how to proceed. The nurse told me to use my common sense and seemed highly annoyed that I called. The follow up apt. was just the same, rushed in and out in under 5 min. Dr. Rosenthal was informative during consultation and even reviewed procedure prior to the surgery. There weren't issues with his abilities, however his staff is terrible.

I had a tooth taken out that could not be numbed because it was infected and 14 days later I am still getting a lot of pain. The last time I was there I had to sit outside in a very hot car for 30 min. because of the virus. The doctor was very good and understanding but the Assistant the last time I was in was not. She asked if I wanted another packing and I asked her what she thought. She said, "WELL YOU ARE EITHER GOING HOME WITH A SYRINGE TO RINSE IT OR A PACKING. WHICH DO YOU WANT?" ALSO SHE SAID I TOLD HIM IT WAS NUMB. HE EVEN SAID AFTER IT WAS PAINFULLY EXTRACTED THAT THE REASON HE COULD NOT GET IT NUMB WAS BECAUSE OF THE INFECTION WHICH i KNEW AFTER YEARS OF WORKING FOR A DENTIST.. TWICE I HAVE GOTTEN A VERY RUDE ASSISTANT BUT OTHER TIMES I HAVE GOTTEN A COUPLE OF GREAT ONES. The doctor was good about it when he had to take it out but I wish i could get some relief with the pain.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rosenthal. He was friendly and knowledgeable and put me at ease as to what was going to be done. I had my reservations having my wisdom teeth out at age 50 and he really did an excellent job. No swelling or bruising, I was in and out in no time and the care I received was top notch! Thank you!
