Dr. Marc Orjansen, DDS

Was referred to Dr. Orjansen by my local dentist after previous referral to an oral surgeon 120 miles away turned into a waste of time and money (oral surgeon didn't do requested biopsy, mis-diagnosed my condition, and scammed me on insurance/billing). Dr. Orjansen examined me, immediately told me I had one of 3 autoimmune disorders that can affect the gums/mouth, did a biopsy, and prescribed an oral gel corticosteroid. 3 weeks later went back, got biopsy results (from an independent agency) confirming the problem was one of the 3 autoimmune disorders Dr. Orjansen identified, and am continuing treatment with follow-up appt in 6 months. Would highly recommend. The only constructive criticism for his practice I could make is that his office let patients know before their 1st appointment that his practice does offer a 5% discount for paying by cash/check instead of credit/debit card. I found this out after driving two hours to his office (and having left my checkbook at home).

Very expensive bone tissue graft that did not work! This was done on my upper & lower teeth. Painful & terrible swelling for five days, taking time off work. Cutting the gum, then lifting the gum to scrap the teeth, injecting the bone tissue & stitching the gum back up. In the chair for over two hours. When it came time for stitches to be taken out, not all were taken out & a month afterward, I myself had to pull one out. I was over charged for the procedure to start with! The receptionist did not use the correct coding, even after I questioned her about this! I called my insurance co., & they said the coding was not correct that was submitted to them. I ended up receiving a credit of about $800.00 which was used for the balance I owed them. Very unhappy with results & unhappy that I had to talk to my insurance company to make sure I was being charged correctly.

Excellent results. Painless.

Dr. “O” and his traveling road show (Eat Street Dental) did a terrific job of crown lengthening on a rear molar. He was efficient, personable, informative, and very competent. Although there may be many factors that make one reluctant to have their teeth worked on, this guy is not one of them. If you are in need of a periodontist this Dr. gets my unqualified recommendation.

Grounded in approach with patients. Sensitive to questions. Friendly Dr and staff. Everyone is most helpful. Saw another peridontist in Naples, Fl and probings were same as Dr. Orjanson as well as treatment plan.
