Dr. Leon James, DDS

Long story short, I am VERY afraid of the dentist. I had a traumatic visit when I was a kid and I never got over it. I'm sure there are others like me.. Dr. James made me feel safe. He answered all my questions. ( He likes to joke around). I knew I needed a lot of work to be done, but I just couldn't get over my anxiety. I knew I needed root canals, fillings, crowns, and implants. What was amazing was he did all my work under IV sedation and I DIDN"T REMEMBER A THING!!!! The best experience ever... Sure, he is a little pricey, but he is the only dentist within 50 miles of me that does this type of work and his work is great. I highly recommend him... 5 stars all the way

This was a great experience. Ri and Dr. James were full of help and energy. Within 10 minutes, I was helped more than the last 10 years of having dental work done. I also didn't feel like they were advising me to make a buck off of it but genuinely advising to help me. I'm excited to not only learn about the correct health of teeth but to start the journey back to healthy teeth/gums.

Couldn't be happier! Absolutely worth the travel time. Dr. James is, without doubt, the best - caring, knowledgeable, reassuring, and very professional. Couldn't ask for better dentistry. The staff is also very competent and professional. Beautiful, clean environment.

Dr. James is an excellent and skillful dentist. He has done my bridgework to perfection with no pain during the procedure and his assistant is the best! He is an example of pure professionalism and is always nice to me when I walk through the door! I love my dream team! Dr. James.... YOU ROCK!!!!

I am an avid review reader but hardly a review writer but I am just so happy with this place. When I tell you I have a serious phobia of dentist offices, I MEAN it. I’ve been pushing my tooth extractions and implants for maybe 2-3 years now for this reason alone! I read many reviews before deciding to go with Dr. James, My entire experience at the Harriman Dental location was also absolutely great by the way. So I had about a month to mentally prepare for this thing, I just needed them gone, but of course, my anxiety was through the roof the day before. Every single part of my experience at Dr. James' office from walk-in to walk-out was nothing short of exceptional. Nobody was trying to haggle you into getting unnecessary work which I really appreciated. They were so patient, so kind, and even funny. They treated me extremely well and made me feel so comfortable that I could never thank them enough. These people really care about their patients. Thank you, Dr. Leon James!!!!

Dr. Leon D James DDS is a professional. Two years ago, I needed tooth extraction and implant--no pain, no complications, nothing. He is an expert in this field and highly recommended. Took me a while to post a review, but I was recently thinking back about how terrible my cracked tooth was and how much Dr. James did for me. He's the pro you want. "

Dr. James fixed my jaw pain!!!! I have been to 7 different dentist about my TMJ issues and none of those dentist knew what to do. He gave instant relief the first day!!!! I can’t believe found him. I highly recommend him!!!! 5 stars

Dr. James was wonderful! I had a very bad experience with my last dentist and was apprehensive but he was gentle, quick, painless and I highly recommend him.

Keisha DeSoto, TX cont'd Medicine wore off. He told me only a small part of my tooth was left in my mouth. I recently found out the entire root of that tooth was left. He cracked another tooth and wanted to charge me for a crown. Found out that the tooth wasn't cracked only the filling that he had done. He was about to get $700 out of me. Then a filling fell out that he did and he swore he did not do the work and charged me again. That filling was poorly restored and is decayed around perimeter.

I'm facing finding a new dentist to complete an implant started by Dr.James. It's disheartening to have to walk around with an implant ( temporary one placed while awaiting permanent one) that chipped off. I would not recommend him to anybody. I will be looking into further actions to take in recouping my expenses for services not completed.

Please take heed to the reviews that you read about Dr. Leon James. I will be filing a complaint against him through the Texas Board of Dentistry. His quality of work is awful. I have never in my life experience such an uncaring dentist. To come into the room and not speak to you shows a lot about his character. I got dental implants with him back in October 2015 and it's been 8 months and the work still isn't completed....and he's been paid in full. Again, please don't waste your time going.
