Dr. Jose Sapia, DMD

not enough room to describe what happens, starting with walking in the front door! There are two great, experienced women that can help with making an appointment, and getting you to feel comfortable! Kathy and Debbie were so kind and helpful, and got me started with working around my schedule, not theirs, so i was able to get to see and meet Dr. Sapia in 24 hours, unless it was a real emergency. The worst that would have happened, was that i may have had to wait 20 minutes,(if that). Then i met Dr Sapia (santa and his helpers)because thats what they made you feel like, relaxed and calm. Dr Sapia then asked me a few questions to make sure i was ok at that point, before he took any x-rays, and i wasent in any pain. (I have to be more brief to explain all this, or i would be taking up several pages.) So, after looking inside my mouth, and checking the x-rays, it was pretty obvious to him what was going on with me, and the problems i was having. During all this time, he kept making sure i was ok, as he started doing a few things with his tools, (which i hate, and he knew it) but he had me so relaxed from the attention he gave me, and distracted me so i wasent focusing on any pain, or what he had to do to help me, and solve the problem. There is so much more to this, but i cant take up all this space. All i wanted to say at this point, was that by the time he finished with me, i felt like i knew the man for quite some time. He was like a "shrink" and handled me like his patient. All the while, if and when he stepped out of the room, one of his assistants was there asking me how i was, and if i needed anything right then. I know i am going on with a story, but there was no other way to tell it, from a person who never met the guy! He did his job, made a friend, and completed the mess i was in. Of course, it was more than 1 appointment that for sure, for a guy who needed bridgework, root canals, cavities adressed, and not to mention a good teeth cleaning, which i will say that he dosent do that (the cleaning) but he is an expert in dealing with a patient who does not like going to the dentist, or drilling, or needles, and whatever else that may be needed in a dentists office. I know i missed several things, but if anyone would like to ask me any questions about this man, and the knowledge he has in treating a patient with dental work, and at the same time, allowing the patient to be most comfortable, because of how he handles you in conversation that takes you away from worrying about what he is actually doing, which for me is keeping me calm, knowing that i have a real professional taking care of me, who really cares about making sure the whole experience is not something that we anticipate, but something very different, based on his people skills. I have been seeing Dr Sapia for over twenty years. He is very knowledgeable and well respected by his peers. He is kind and gentle all the time. My brother even asked if he uses special lidocaine because he never experiences pain during procedures. Margarida cleaned my teeth and explained each step along the way. I found her to be kind, gentle and very informative as well. The front staff Kathy and Deb could not be any nicer. They too are exceptional. In twenty years my billing and appts have never been an issue. They have a beautiful modern office near Sagamore Beach. I highly recommend them and give them the highest rating possible. I wish I could give ten stars!
