Dr. John Lanzetta, DMD

I have rarely ever written a negative review about anyone, but I am compelled to write a review about the terrible experience I had with Dr. John Lanzetta of Madison Avenue Periodontics. I myself am a cosmetic dermatologist, who teaches at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and has been affiliated at Mount Sinai for many years. I mention this because the reader will have a better idea of my ability to evaluate the indication and unnecessary periodontal surgeryI had recently done by Dr John Lanzetta, leaving cme with a large unsightly very visible space-defect in my lower front incisors, which could have been totally avoided if he had listened to my advice. I have had this issue many times in my life ie a little swelling of the interdental gingiva (gum in between 2 teeth) and it always responded to conventional periodontal treatment of scaling, curettage, and even a small injection into the area of Arrestin.Against my better judgement I allowed him to operate and I had a terrible result.
